Fundraising Coordinator
- Identify potential grants
- Monitor due dates of identified grants
- Ensure timely submission of grants
- Serve as main point of contact for grantors
- Research for data to support applications (optional)
- Time commitment: Will vary depending on grant deadlines
*Grant experience is an assest
Volunteer Coordinator
- plan, prep and coordinate Library of Things events
- they will organize volunteers or attend events to promote the library or host sustainable skill sharing activities (i.e puzzle swaps, repair cafes etc.)
- Time Commitment: Flexible, expect 2-4 hours weekly dependent on events scheduled.
Events Coordinator
- Prep, plan and host events
- Reach out to potential partners: including sourcing donations for prizes or snacks
- Guide other volunteers as required in promoting and hosting event
- Attend events to promote the Library
- Reports to Library Coordinators
- Time Commitment: Flexible, expext 2-4 hours weekly dependent on events scheduled.
Multiple Volunteers Welcome.
Social Media Volunteer
- Design and schedule posts for social media
- Monitor and reply to all comments and DMs, or forward to relevant cooridnator
- Collaborate with Communications Coordinator on additonal content as required
- Assist with promotional materials as requested
- Capture content at Library events to share on socials as requested
- Time commitment: 1-4 hours weekly
Multiple Volunteers Welcome.
Librarian
- Greet visitors
- Check in/out items
- Prepare reservations
- Sign up new members
- Activate new memberships
- Help maintain cleanliness of the library
- Ideal for: Comfortable with a computer, enjoys talking to people.
- Time commitment: 1 shift/month, Saturday 12:45-4:15pm or Tuesday 5:15-7:45pm
Repair and Maintenance Volunteers
- Infrequent repair and/or regular maintenance of items
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities
- Ideal for: Handy humans who like to repair and maintain things
- Time commitment: Flexible and ongoing
*Experience required as this work would be done independently
Events Assistant
- Planning and hosting events that promote sharing and waste reduction
- Brainstorming event ideas
- Reaching out to potential partners, & sponsors
- Coordinate with Social Media team to promote events
- Attend other events to promote the Library of Things
- Supports Events Coordinator
- Time commitment: Flexible based on how many events the volunteer would like to plan.
