Borrowing is convenient! Start today with these easy steps.
Become a member
Start by creating an account on our website. Memberships cost as low as $30 annually. All fees go back into the costs of running the Library. To activate your membership, stop by the Library in person to show a piece of photo ID.
Browse the inventory
Visit the website and use the search bar to find what you need, or browse using the “Category” or “Type” options. We currently have over 1000 items in our inventory, and new items are being donated every day!
Borrow an item
Members can reserve items on our website, and members still awaiting in-person verification can reserve by emailing us. We’ll follow up and let you know when your reservation has been processed. Members are free to stop by the Library during operating hours to borrow any available items.
Use
The length of borrowing time is flexible but we recommend you consider the time you need the item and return it promptly so more members can make use of them. Renewals are sometimes accommodated as long as no one else has requested or reserved the item.
Return
That’s it! When you’re done with the item or when the due date arrives, simply drop it off for the next borrower to use. Items can be returned between 11am and 4pm Monday to Friday to staff at the Makerspace Saskatoon on Ave D S, or directly to Library of Things Volunteers on Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm & Saturdays 1-4pm.
