FAQS
Got questions about the borrowing process? We have the answers!
Does it cost anything to borrow the items?
No! We are proud to be able to offer all of these items to the community free of charge. We have a suggested yearly membership fee of $30, but it is entirely optional. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes, and the wonderful owners of The Better Good for donating space for our library, we are able to keep our costs down. However, any membership fees and monetary donations we receive go a long way towards helping us pay other expenses such as insurance and maintaining our items. Thank you!
Can I only borrow the items for one week?
Nope! Let us know how long you need the item for, and we can set the due date for then. Traveling to South America for a month and need a mosquito net? No problem. Need a few weeks with the caulking gun to finish that bathroom reno? We've got you covered. The only exception to this is if somebody else has already reserved the item in the near future - in that case, we'll figure something out with you.
Can I reserve items so that when I show up at the Library, I know they'll be there?
*Please note that if you did not receive a confirmation email, your reservation was not processed.*
If you're running into issues with reservations just send us an email and we'll get you sorted!
When can I pick up items I've reserved?
Currently, the library is staffed on Saturdays from 1-4pm.
If these hours don't work for you, send us an email and we can see if one of our volunteers can meet you outside of those hours.
I'm ready to return my item. Do I need to wait until the Library opens on Saturday?
Can I donate items to the Library?
How can I tell my friends about the Library?
This seems like a really great project. How can I get more involved?
Volunteers are what continue to make this project successful. Please consider donating your time to help us. We have many jobs from staffing the library on Saturdays to behind the scenes projects. The first step is to visit our Volunteer page.
